Pinetar Organizational Standards

Pinetar Progression League Rules:

The exact progression model with the promotion and demotion schedule for league is available via the Progression Model link on the Pinetar site. This is a guide of only progression rules which will be strictly adhered to.

A. All regular season champions in all leagues will be promoted to the next level.

B. All demotions will be enforced. A team that is demoted out of a league may not rejoin the same league the following year. However, managers on the lowest levels who are demoted out of their league will be allowed to play in a different league on the same level the following season if they wish to try again.

C. Any unexpected open spots in the tiers above the lowest will be filled by the second place unpromoted finisher from the level below with the highest Pinetar Power Ranking. As an example, if a manager in the top NL league can't continue next season then the 2nd place finishers in the leagues in the level below will be eligible. The 2nd place finisher who has the highest power ranking will get the promotion.

D. A manager that resigns a spot in a league above the lowest level will not be eligible to return to the same level in the event they return in the future. They must enter at the bottom level and work their way back up.

Pinetar Fee:

The Pinetar membership fee is $10 per year. For progression leagues this fee was included in your BBM enrollment cost. 100% of your $10 will be applied to the organization for trophies, prizes and to cover some minor web site fees. For keeper leagues we ask that the $10 be paid separately before the draft begins. Reference the Pinetar Fee page for details on how to make payment.

The Pinetar Community:

We ask our managers to commit to being active members of their league. Making an occasional post on the Diamond Club and/or sending out an email to your league at times to talk about league action are ways to improve your BBM experience. We feel that building a community elevates the enjoyment of playing Baseball Manager and helps managers come to know the managers of other Pinetar leagues. Pinetar sponsors a gathering each year at a location to give managers a chance to meet each other and have a fun weekend get-a-way. For the 2011 season we will meet in San Diego. These events are always a great time, and family members are encouraged to attend as well. Details will be posted on the Pinetar site and on the DC.

Organizational Awards:

At seasons end the organization will nominate managers for each of our annual organizational awards. A organization wide vote will be conducted after the season's end for these awards. Awards include Manager of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Comeback Manager of the Year and Commissioner of the Year.

Pinetar's Pledge to it's members:

Pinetar pledges to be a not for profit organization. The Pinetar website is 100% free of pop-up and banner ads. Pinetar is committed to enhancing your Baseball Manager experience only. All fees paid to Pinetar will be returned to it's managers in the form of trophies and prizes, with the exception of a very small amount of annual web fee costs.
